Caters to one of the largest numbers of households in the world using LPG

Owns the country's leading SERVO brand lubricants, with over 32% market
share and 500 grades, operates ISO-9002 certified aviation fuelling service, with the largest market
share in the business segment (63%).
Operates the highest altitude petrol & diesel station in the world, at Leh
(on the world’s highest motorable road, at 18,380 ft. above sea level) in Ladakh, in the Himalayas.
Also operates a bulk petroleum depot, Aviation Fuelling Station and LPG bottling plant in the region.
IndianOil's world-class R&D Centre has won recognition for its pioneering
work in lubricants formulation, refinery processes, pipeline transportation and alternative fuels.
It has developed one of the widest ranges of lubricants and greases (SERVO brand has over 2,200
formulations) for virtually all conceivable applications – automotive, railroad, industrial and
marine – meeting stringent international standards and bearing the stamp of approval of all major
original equipment manufacturers. The Centre has to its credit about 120 national and international
patents and is among the six worldwide technology holders for marine oils. It is currently leading
India’s efforts in commercialisation of bio-fuels, Hydrogen as fuel, etc.

PETROTECH Society
PETROTECH Society is a registered body and is administrated by a General Body, a Governing Council & an Executive Committee. The society is headed by the Chairman and President who are assisted by the Secretary General & CEO for managing day-to-day activities. A group of top eminent technocrats from the hydrocarbon industry in India formalised the PETROTECH Society in 1999.
The raison d'etre of the society is :
- To provide a forum for national & international experts in oil & gas industry to
exchange views and share their knowledge, expertise and experience.
- To identify and explore new areas for cooperation and technology transfer relating to the
petroleum industry.
- To find ways to assimilate and harness the petroleum resources of the world for the benefit of
mankind.
- To meet the challenges of energy requirements, and maximise hydrocarbon resources for the energy
sector.
- To develop trained, experienced and motivated manpower for dynamic growth and exploration of oil & gas
and its further processing downstream.
- To identify ways of adopting modern technologies as well as to apply knowledge of relevant contemporary
technologies to meet the challenges facing the oil & gas industry the world over.Every two years, the
PETROTECH series of conferences & exhibition is organised by the PETROTECH Society in partnership with a
major player in India's oil & gas sector. The PETROTECH series of events started in 1995 as a movement where
all players of the oil & gas industry across upstream, midstream and downstream sectors from India and abroad
meet on a common platform to discuss issues, concerns, strategies and technological advances in the field of
hydrocarbons.
