PETROTECH-2009 GOLF

The PETROTECH-2009 Golf Tournament was ceremonially teed off at the picturesque Qutab Golf Course, New Delhi, by His Excellency the Lt. Governor of Delhi, Mr Tejendera Khanna on the morning of 11th January 2009.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

For their outstanding contribution to the development of India's petroleum industry, PETROTECH Society conferred the Lifetime Achievement Awards upon three stalwarts of the industry – Dr. Vijay Laxman Kelkar, Chairman, Finance Commission and former Secretary, Petroleum & Natural Gas, Mr. Sushil Kumar Manglik, former Chairman & Managing Director of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation; and Mr. Mohinder Kumar Bagai, former Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd.

Photo Contest

As a part of PETROTECH-2009, A Photo Contest & Exhibition was organised at Hall No. 18, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi with the theme "Bringing Energy to Life" showcasing aesthetic photos of refineries, oil wells and different processes of this sector. About 260 photographs were displayed.

PETROTECH-2009 QUIZ

At PETROTECH-2009, a Quiz event was organised. The quiz session was inaugurated at Vigyan Bhawan by Dr. (Ms.) Leena Srivastava, Executive Director, Energy Resources Institute. She was accompanied by Mr. B N Bankapur, Director (Refineries) IndianOil, Mr. S P Goel, Director (PCRA) and Mr. N K Bansal, Executive Director (Shipping) & Group Leader, Quiz Committee.

Facilities to interact with national and international correspondents of global media were provided on all days of the exhibition. A daily newsletter capturing highlights of the event called Showcase was published and circulated among conference delegates and exhibitors during PETROTECH-2009 to provide adequate coverage on conference and exhibition.
