PETROTECH-2009 in panorama

Keeping with the promise of making PETROTECH-2009 much more than just another conference, we unveiled for you a five-day extravaganza to forge fruitful partnerships, share technical expertise and seek global cooperation.

The 8^th edition of Asia’s biggest biennial oil & gas industry PETROTECH-2009, organised by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, was in every aspect a great success. After days of jam-packed itineraries and back-to-back business sessions, the curtains went down on PETROTECH-2009 on January 15, 2009. IndianOil passed the baton to ONGC to host PETROTECH-2011.

We bring you the highlights of the event.

PETROTECH-2009, the unique platform for global cooperation for energy, got off to a great start with a round of golf which provided an ideal setting for the guests and delegates to get to know each other. The PETROTECH-2009 Golf tournament was ceremonially teed off at the picturesque Qutab Golf Course, New Delhi, by his Excellency the Lt. Governor of Delhi, Mr. Tejender Khanna. While inaugurating the event, H.E. Lt. Governor Tejender Khanna said that he was happy to be part of the prestigious event and thanked IndianOil for hosting the event. Braving the chilly January morning, more than 100 golfers, including CEOs of premier oil companies and delegates from India and abroad, teed off to vie for honours at the event.
